1. China market ozone-activated carbon deep treatment process
Process type:
Post-process: activated carbon after sand filtration—mainly gravity flow filter
Pre-process: activated carbon before sand filtration—upward flow filter
Case effect:
- Post-process: activated carbon filter inlet turbidity is controlled below 1.0 NTU, and effluent COD<sub>Mn</sub> is reduced to below 0.5 mg/L, effectively removing organic matter and odor.
- Pre-process: Upward flow activated carbon pool has better treatment effect on high organic matter raw water, and subsequent sand filtration ensures turbidity meets the standard (<0.1 NTU).
Operation management points:
Backwashing requires chlorine-free filtered water to avoid damaging the biofilm;
Regularly manually rake the carbon layer to solve the problem of uneven adsorption saturation.
