How to maintain Softening water filter LEFILTER

The daily maintenance methods of softened water filters are as follows:
1. Maintenance during operation
Monitoring water quality
Regularly test the hardness of softened water. You can use a water hardness test tool or entrust a professional organization to test. If the hardness is found to be beyond the expected range, the operating status of the filter should be checked in time to determine whether the operating parameters need to be adjusted or repaired.
Observe the color, odor and transparency of the water output. If there is an abnormality, there may be a problem inside the filter, such as resin contamination, leakage, etc., which needs to be dealt with in time.
Check flow and pressure
Pay attention to the inlet and outlet flow of the softened water filter. If the flow rate is significantly reduced, the filter may be clogged or the resin has failed. Check the inlet and outlet pressure difference of the filter. Under normal circumstances, the pressure difference should be within a certain range. If the pressure difference is too large, it also indicates that the filter may have a clogging problem and needs to be cleaned or the resin replaced.

Control operating parameters
Strictly control the operating parameters of the softened water filter, such as water temperature, water flow rate, regeneration cycle, etc., in accordance with the requirements of the equipment manual. Avoid damage to the resin caused by excessive water temperature or water flow rate. At the same time, the regeneration cycle should be set reasonably to ensure that the resin is regenerated in time before failure to ensure the softening effect.
2. Maintenance of resin
Prevent resin pollution
Ensure that the raw water quality entering the softening water filter meets the requirements and avoids containing a large amount of suspended matter, organic matter, iron ions and other impurities. Before the raw water enters the filter, a pretreatment device such as a sand filter, an activated carbon filter, etc. can be set to remove impurities in the water to prevent the resin from being contaminated.

If the resin is found to be contaminated, it can be cleaned by appropriate methods. For example, for organic pollution, sodium hydroxide solution can be used for cleaning; for iron ion pollution, hydrochloric acid solution can be used for cleaning. However, during the cleaning process, attention should be paid to controlling the concentration and cleaning time of the cleaning solution to avoid excessive damage to the resin.
Regeneration of resin
Regenerate the resin according to the prescribed regeneration cycle and method. During regeneration, a sufficient amount of high-concentration brine should be used to ensure that the resin is fully regenerated. At the same time, the flow rate and temperature of the regeneration liquid should be controlled to keep it within the appropriate range.
After regeneration, the resin should be fully rinsed to remove residual regeneration liquid and impurities. The rinsing time should be long enough until the hardness of the outlet water meets the requirements.
