Multi-Media Filter is a crucial pre-treatment device in water treatment system. It uses filter layers composed of filter media of different particle sizes and densities to remove suspended solids, colloids, sediment, algae, some organic matter and macromolecular substances in water through physical interception (mainly screening) and adsorption. 1. Main application areas
Municipal water treatment:
As the first barrier for surface water (rivers, lakes, reservoirs), remove turbidity, silt, and algae.
Pretreatment for groundwater iron and manganese removal (removal of sediment formed after oxidation).
- Industrial water treatment:
Pretreatment: Provide qualified inlet water for precision treatment processes such as reverse osmosis, electrodialysis, ion exchange, nanofiltration, and ultrafiltration, and protect subsequent membrane elements or resins from suspended matter contamination and blockage. This is its core application. - Circulating cooling water system: Remove suspended matter in circulating water to prevent equipment scaling, corrosion, and microbial growth.
Process water preparation: Such as food and beverage, pharmaceutical, electronics and other industries, provide raw water that meets specific turbidity requirements. - Boiler feed water treatment: Remove suspended matter and colloids in raw water.
- Wastewater deep treatment/reuse: After biological treatment or physicochemical treatment, further remove residual suspended matter, improve effluent water quality, and meet reuse standards.
- Seawater desalination pretreatment: remove suspended matter, algae, colloids in seawater to protect expensive reverse osmosis membranes.
