PVDF hollow fiber UF membrane is the preferred filtration material for harsh wastewater working conditions, relying on excellent hydrophilicity, chemical corrosion resistance and tensile strength. Compared with PES membrane, PVDF UF membrane can withstand repeated sodium hypochlorite high-concentration cleaning without fiber cracking. For oilfield produced water carrying crude oil emulsions and municipal tertiary wastewater with high turbidity, outer-pressure PVDF UF modules efficiently trap oil droplets and solid particles, cutting pollution risks of downstream RO membrane.
