Product Introduction
The quartz sand filter usually has a cylindrical or cuboid shape, with a simple and compact structure that is easy to install in various water treatment systems. Its outer shell is mostly made of high-quality carbon steel or stainless steel, possessing good corrosion resistance and sealing performance, which can effectively protect the internal components and prevent water leakage. The core component is the quartz sand filter material. The selected quartz sand is hard in texture and has stable chemical properties. It has different particle size specifications and is filled in the filter in a certain layer sequence. It can effectively intercept impurities such as suspended solids, colloids and sediment in water by virtue of its own pore structure and is widely used in many fields where water purification is required.
Technical Specifications
(I) Filtration Rate
It is generally in the range of 8 – 15 cubic meters per hour. However, the actual rate will be appropriately adjusted according to factors such as the particle size of quartz sand and water quality conditions to ensure a good filtration effect.
(II) Working Pressure
The working pressure that it can usually withstand is between 0.1MPa and 0.6MPa, which can be adapted to the pressure environment of common water treatment pipeline systems to ensure stable operation under the corresponding pressure conditions.
(III) Filtration Precision
It has a good removal ability for impurities and suspended solids with a particle size larger than about 50 micrometers. By reasonably selecting the particle size of quartz sand and the filling method, the filtration precision can be optimized to some extent.

Working Process
After the water containing impurities enters from the upper part of the filter, it will be evenly distributed on the surface of the quartz sand filter layer under the action of the internal water distribution device. Then, the water slowly permeates through the quartz sand layer from top to bottom. During this process, the pores of the quartz sand play a key role. Impurity particles are retained because their particle sizes are larger than the pores of the quartz sand and continuously accumulate in the sand layer, while clear water can smoothly pass through the sand layer and flow out from the bottom outlet, realizing the preliminary filtration and purification of water and effectively improving the water quality.

Product Features
(I) High-Efficiency Filtration
The quartz sand filter has a significant interception effect on common impurities such as suspended solids and sediment in water, can effectively reduce the turbidity of water and improve the clarity of water quality, providing relatively high-quality water sources for subsequent in-depth treatment or water use links.
(II) Stable Operation
The equipment has a relatively simple structure and there are no complex and easily damaged mechanical structures. As long as regular maintenance operations such as backwashing of quartz sand are carried out to maintain its good pore permeability, it can ensure stable filtration for a long time, is not prone to failures, and guarantees the continuity of water treatment work.
(III) Cost-Effective
Quartz sand, as a filter material, is widely sourced and has a low cost. Meanwhile, the manufacturing process of the equipment itself is relatively mature, making both its procurement cost and the later operation and maintenance costs relatively reasonable and cost-effective. It is suitable for water treatment projects of various scales.
(IV) Strong Adaptability
It can handle raw water with different water qualities, such as surface water, groundwater and slightly polluted industrial wastewater. It can effectively remove impurities from them, has good versatility and can meet diverse water purification needs.
Application Fields
(I) Municipal Water Supply
As a pretreatment link in the municipal water supply system, it can remove sediment, large particle suspended solids and other substances in the raw water, reduce the burden of subsequent water treatment processes, improve the overall quality of water supply and ensure the cleanliness and safety of residents’ water use.
(II) Industrial Water Use
In industrial production, such as in the chemical, textile and electronics industries, there are strict requirements for the quality of production water. The quartz sand filter can conduct preliminary filtration on raw water to prevent impurities in water from affecting the normal operation of production equipment and product quality.
(III) Sewage Treatment
In the sewage treatment process, it is often used as a front-end coarse filtration device to filter out large particle impurities in sewage, creating good conditions for subsequent biochemical treatment, in-depth treatment and other processes and helping to improve the efficiency and effect of sewage treatment.
(IV) Swimming Pool Circulating Water
It is used to filter impurities such as hair, dust and dander in swimming pool water, keep the pool water clear and transparent, create a clean and hygienic swimming environment for swimmers and improve the user experience.
Conclusion
The quartz sand filter plays an indispensable role in water purification in many fields with its reasonable structure, applicable technical parameters, reliable working principle and excellent performance characteristics. It can not only meet the basic requirements of different scenarios for water quality, ensure the safety of water use and the smooth progress of production, but also is deeply welcomed because of its cost advantages and simple operation. In the future, it will surely continue to contribute to more relevant fields. If you are interested or have any questions, please contact us.
