Introduction

In industrial scenarios, wire-wound cartridges show a wide range of applicability. Work Principle

The structural design of the wire-wound cartridge is delicate and rigorous. The core material is carefully selected textile fibre threads, of which polypropylene threads have excellent chemical stability and are able to withstand the erosion of a variety of chemical substances, and always maintain stable filtration performance in complex chemical environments; skimmed cotton threads are able to effectively adsorb tiny particles and organic impurities in the fluid by virtue of their excellent adsorption capacity. These fibre threads are wound in an orderly manner on a carefully crafted porous skeleton at a specific spacing and tightness under the control of a precision manufacturing process.

The skeleton material can choose high-strength polypropylene, which has the characteristics of light weight, low cost and chemical corrosion resistance, and is suitable for general industrial and civil scenarios; for some special environments with very high requirements for corrosion resistance, such as chemical industry, marine and other fields, the corrosion-resistant stainless steel skeleton can be used.

After the winding process, the filter element finally forms a unique honeycomb structure with a sparse outer and dense inner. When the fluid passes through the cartridge, the loose structure of the outer layer acts as the first barrier, taking the lead in intercepting the larger particles of impurities and reducing the filtration load of the inner layer; with the further penetration of the fluid into the inner layer, the inner layer of the compact structure plays a fine filtration role, accurately capturing fine suspended solids, particles of impurities, rust and other pollutants, to achieve all-round and highly efficient filtration of large particles to fine impurities, and displaying excellent filtration performance.

From the manufacturing process point of view, the wire-wound filter element incorporates advanced computer modelling technology, which reflects the development trend of high precision and intelligence in modern industrial manufacturing. With the help of professional computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) software, engineers are able to carry out in-depth analysis and optimal design of the cartridge geometry.

Among them, the diamond-shaped depth filtration cone structure is an important embodiment of process innovation. This unique structure is optimally aligned through computer simulation to dramatically expand the surface area of the cartridge and significantly increase its contact area with the fluid. A larger contact area means more opportunities for filtration, which in turn improves filtration efficiency.

At the same time, the enhanced gradient density structure of the cartridge is also a technical advantage. From the outer to the inner layers of the cartridge, the density of the fibre windings gradually increases. This design strikes a delicate balance between filtration accuracy and fluid passage. The lower winding density of the outer layer allows the fluid to pass through quickly at a higher flow rate, which effectively reduces pressure loss and energy consumption; the gradually increasing winding density of the inner layer ensures efficient interception of fine impurities, which significantly improves the dirt-holding capacity of the cartridge, prolongs the service life of the cartridge, reduces the frequency of replacement, and lowers the maintenance cost.
