Printing & dyeing wastewater, steel plant circulating cooling water and municipal tertiary reclaimed water contain massive organic sludge, algae and biological mucus. Ordinary standard LF-BW RO membrane will form thick biofilm within 1–2 months of operation, leading to soaring differential pressure, reduced water production capacity and mandatory monthly shutdown chemical cleaning, which causes huge production loss and extra chemical procurement cost. Our LF-BW-FR anti-fouling brackish RO element upgrades two core structures: super hydrophilic modified TFC surface and widened 34mil internal feed channel, slowing pollutant adhesion and accumulation significantly. The chemical cleaning cycle can be extended from 1–2 months to over half a year, and stable salt rejection above 99.6 can be maintained even under long-term high-COD raw water inlet conditions.
